Prairie cherries are very dark, sweet, and large and continually surprise people with their excellent flavour and versatility.
Romeo
Very similar to Juliet, just a little darker and smaller.
Juliette
The most versatile cherry; great for fresh eating, sweet, yet enough acid to deliver high flavor. Great for all kinds of preserves and baking as well.
Crimson
Highest sugar/lowest acid, so the sweetest tasting. Difficult to propagate and are not as reliable for production as other varieties.
Cupid
Latest to ripen but worth the wait! They are by far the largest and darkest and are also a very versatile cherry, great for fresh eating, freezing and preserves.
Valentine
lowest sugar/highest acid so the most tart tasting. These are like a nanking cherry, but are much larger and with a stem so are much easier to pick.
